Tierra Negra - Velvet Skin

Ya vamos compartiendo casi todos los temas que tengo de Tierra Negra, este maravilloso duo de guitarristas alemanes que hacen su propia interpretación de las músicas de las Baleares.
Quizas lo interesante es que le dan un sello de internacionalidad, en el sentido de la mezcla de influencias, o al menos eso se me antoja a mi, para este fenómeno de los artistas que componen o interpretan músicas de tierras de las que no son nativos.
Desde ese CD excelente que es Guitar Lounge Vol.1. Me encanta!

Así como cuenta Will Ackerman en el libro de su CD "The Opening of Doors", en la descripcion del tema "Bahía, Nebraska":

"I never meant to write a piece which so invites itself to the full Brazilian treatment; congas and soprano sax, the whole nine yards. The problem resides in my terror of trying to be something I'm not. I'm definitely not Brazilian. Every turn we took on this song, though, invited a trip south to sun, rum and Bahia. Having the cello take the melody was as far from the predictable as we could go. The title reflects the digging in of heels to keep this piece in the world I know"

Pero los que sí han sabido interpretarlo (Somos alemanes y tocamos algo parecido al Flamenco) son Leo Henrichs y Raughi Ebert, el dúo Tierra Negra. Hacen música de las Islas Baleares, que es como se le llama a este estilo. Con resultados sorprendentes. Ya lo compartimos varias veces, y siempre es un gusto revisitarlo.
